The October Magic Dawn Camellia is part of the Southern Living Plant Collection. It blooms in Fall producing large pink rose-form flowers. Dawn has a compact upright growth habit making it ideal as a specimen plant or intermediate hedge. When planting this shrub£¬ dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil£¬ then leave the top of the root ball 1/2 inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow release granular fertilizer in Spring. Not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival.
